Mammoth Cave National Park
and Surrounding Communities
 
Established in 1941, Mammoth Cave National Park encompasses 52, 835 acres in south-central Kentucky. The Green river runs through the rugged but beautiful ridges and valleys. Mammoth Cave, the centerpice of the park is known to contain more than 367 miles of passageways.
 
Many of the photos and lots of the information has been submitted by Karen Logsdon Phillips. Karen says " Norman Warnell is my Mammoth Cave mentor. Much of this information and the photos I wouldn't have if it weren't for him.
